If you are unsure of what carrier is being used to send you a package use the following format. You can ship items to the pick up store, which will hold packages for 15 days. We cannot accept items for students via mail or private carrier in advance of their move in day.You will have to wait for it to be delivered to the UCen Post Office and for their staff to email you. Please note: if you receive an email from the sender that your package has been scanned in at the local Post Office, it's possible it may be at the Goleta Post Office and not the UCen Post Office.Housing staff do not notify students if they have mail in their boxes, nor does the Front Desk accept deliveries or packages from private carriers with the exceptions of flower deliveries, cake deliveries, Residence Housing Association (RHA) approved packages, and luggage dropped off for a resident by an airline. Students are responsible for checking their own boxes.Amazon also has a pick up location in Isla Vista: Mailboxes are shared by 2-3 persons, usually (but not always) with roommates. It is therefore important to include both the Box Number and the Residence Hall & Room Number on all correspondence. We have experienced that companies such as Amazon do not specify if they will be using the postal service or a private carrier such as UPS.Mail and packages sent via private carriers (UPS, FedEx, etc) are delivered directly to the resident’s residence hall room by that company’s delivery person. For packages sent through USPS, an email will be sent to the student's UMail address to notify them that their package is ready for pick up at the UCen Post Office counter. All Residence Hall residents receive mail sent through US Postal Service (USPS) at the Post Office in the University Center (UCen).(Anacapa, Manzanita Village, San Miguel, San Nicolas, San Rafael, Santa Cruz, & Santa Rosa)
